Rumah Songket Adis (RSA) is a heritage fashion house and cultural craft brand from Palembang, Indonesia, established in 2008. Originating from a family of traditional Palembang songket weavers and artisans, RSA has become one of the pioneers in preserving and developing South Sumatran textile heritage through innovative designs that seamlessly blend traditional craftsmanship with contemporary aesthetics.
Founded by Adis Karim, the daughter of a traditional Palembang songket weaver, RSA is committed to creating high-quality products while preserving the authenticity, philosophy, motifs, and craftsmanship of Indonesia's traditional textiles (wastra). In recognition of her dedication to advancing songket-based fashion, Adis Karim was honored with the Upakarti Award by the President of the Republic of Indonesia in 2014 for her pioneering contribution to Songket Heritage Fashion.
RSA's collections have been showcased at numerous international trade exhibitions and fashion shows in Malaysia, Thailand, Uzbekistan, the Middle East, and the United States, promoting the richness of Indonesia's cultural heritage to the global market.
As a testament to its commitment to innovation and intellectual property protection, RSA has been granted eight Intellectual Property (IP) certificates by the Ministry of Law and Human Rights of the Republic of Indonesia for its original designs and creative products.
Today, Rumah Songket Adis manages four sister brands, all of which are inspired by the distinctive motifs, traditional textiles (wastra), and cultural heritage of South Sumatra. Through this brand ecosystem, RSA continues to transform cultural heritage into premium creative products that are relevant to modern lifestyles while remaining competitive in both national and international markets.
